WIN!

• Create a collage of a summer meadow. Your picture can be any size you like.
• Submit your entry using the file upload on the form below or by email at competition@johnburningham.co.uk with the subject “Summer Meadow Competition”
• It is open to all UK Primary School children
• The deadline to receive entries is 8th September 2025
• Please scan or photograph your picture (take the photo in good light so we can see your work)

HOW WILL THE ARTWORK BE JUDGED?

Here is what the judges will be looking for:

• The use of collaging techniques to create the picture
• A unique idea and artwork style, a sense of a meadow field created by the artwork

PRIZES

The winner will receive £100 pounds worth of art supplies for their school, six of John Burningham books and also a copy of Petr Horácek’s picture book, The Long Walk.

KEY RULES OF THE COMPETITION*

• Only one entry per person please. If submitting as a school or group there is no limit to the number of entries as long as it is no more than one picture per child.
• The competition is open to all UK Primary School age children.
• If sending by email, you will need to take a photo or scan of your artwork.
• Work should be original and created by the entrant(s) – please do not use any templates or AI.
• Please remember to include the creator’s name and age on the entry. We encourage you not to include full name(s), just first name(s) and age(s).
• Please note, the data submitted will be used for the administration of the competition. First names, ages and schools/clubs where applicable may also be shared on our website and social media pages – if you do not want this data to be shared online you should make this explicitly clear in your submission.
